Brashear is working as part of the Northrop Grumman team to develop the follow-on to the Tactical High Energy Laser (THEL) for the U.S. Army.  This is a follow-on to the THEL/ACTD program, that demonstrated the effectiveness of using high energy lasers to defeat short-range terrorist threats such as Katyusha rockets, mortars and artillery.
