Embedded Memory
Based on our modular architecture, we can configure our existing hardware so that customers can embed our existing circuit cards within their existing platform chassis or sensor providing an "embedded storage solution". The benefits of this type of system of course are the obvious Size, Weight And Power (SWAP) savings while offering customers the ability to architect their own turn-key solution. Our embedded storage solutions utilizing solid state flash memory are offered in either VME or cPCI circuit card form factors. Generally, a system is configured in a three card set:

1. Interface Card - This is the personality card providing such functions as I/O, error management, buffering, etc.
2. Single Board Computer - Hosts the software program and provides control functions.
3. Memory Card - 16GB to 128GB of storage on a single memory card. Multiple memory cards can be utilized.

In addition, depending on the customer's requirements, one card (Single Board Computer) can be eliminated in certain customer configurations if the customer is able to host the L-3 CS-E provided software package. As apart of our embedded solutions, L-3 Communications provides off the shelf as well as customized software packages including Application Specific Interfaces and Graphical User Interfaces.
