The L-3 Display Systems Multi-Purpose Display (MPD) on the AH-64D Apache helicopter is a 1024 x 1024 high resolution 6.25” x  6.25” MPD that is a form, fit, function backward-and forward-compatible solution that keeps life-cycle costs to a minimum, and is applicable to all 6.25” x 6.25” ARINC C MPD installations.  At the same time the L-3 Display Systems MPD provides improved product reliability, assured long-term availability, performance enhancements and product growth provisions. 

Since its inception, the AH-64 Apache has been developed using incremental technology insertions at regular intervals to ensure that the world’s most capable multi-function combat helicopter meets the current and future needs of the warfighter and the AH-64 Apache program.
