The SuperSet™ family of rugged AMLCD displays is an “off-the-shelf”
solution providing unmatched flexibility and interchangeability
for airborne military platforms. Currently there are over 2,500 SuperSet
displays of varying viewing size aboard several platforms such as
the C-17, C-130, C-27J, U-2, T-38, CH-46, and FA-50.
These display systems are commonly used as Primary Flight
Displays, Multi-Function Displays, or as Electronic Flight
Indicator Systems. Using our “Flashlight” approach,
the same electronic modules can be interchanged with different size
AMLCD displays allowing ultimate flexibility in choosing a system
that meets your application needs.
The SuperSet product family is a open architecture family of displays
and processing modules that offer greater flexibility and scalability
to meet the current needs of the modern cockpit: DO-178B software,
ARINC 653 partitioning, DO-254 and DO-160E. The commercial Real-Time
Operating System (RTOS), PowerPC based processors using OpenGL graphic
engines allows for low-cost non-recurring engineering adaptation,
economies of scale, and recurring production savings.
