NIGHT VISION COMPATIBLE

ROLLING MEADOWS, ILLINOIS, USA. L-3 Communications, Electrodynamics is introducing a new Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatible solid state LED fault locating indicators featuring rear-mount design incorporating a rubber o-ring for sealed panel mount to provide additional protection from severe environments, contained in a compact case design. Designated ML1638, these indicators incorporate an infrared blocking lens which meets the MIL-L-85762 specification for Night Vision Imaging System (NVIS) compatibility. The environmentally sealed ML1638 indicator is ideal for a variety of military applications including airborne, communications equipment and battlefield network hardware.

Standard configured ML1638 miniature indicators are supplied in a black anodized aluminum housing and comes complete with mounting hardware and an NBC compatible fluorocarbon rubber o-ring. Custom options include clear chromate body substitution and an EMI screen . The indicator requires only a .315" mounting hole and is provided with straight leads or solder loops. It is available with yellow or green LED's with choice of diffused or non-diffused lens types.

Luminous intensity is available in the range of 5.0 to 0.6 mcd, typical, depending on model. Chromaticity per MIL-L-85762A is NVIS yellow and green B.

ML1638 LED indicators are made to order with typical delivery time of 8 weeks from receipt of an order.
