L-3 Communications has grown quickly into the sixth largest defense company in the United States, and is a leader and prime defense contractor in Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), secure communications, government services, training and simulation and aircraft modernization and maintenance.

L-3 Southern California Microwave (L-3 SCM) is a leading manufacturer of microwave transmitters, receivers, power amplifiers, and repeaters covering diverse applications for military test ranges, UAVs, RPVs, UGVs, security and surveillance markets, law enforcement agencies and for various branches of the DOD.  L-3 SCM provides systems for NTSC or PAL video applications, and standard FM PCM telemetry systems with up to 20 Mbps data rates. Offerings are available as standard products for the majority of applications or as custom solutions for unique requirements.

Over the past three years L-3 SCM has gone through significant growth in both employees and facilities expansion. During this time personnel has grown from 26 to 40 employees due to the demand generated by many of our loyal and satisfied customers.  Most of the growth was in support of our need for increased hardware test capacity driving the L-3 SCM facility expansion from 8,000 sq ft to 13,000 sq ft.  This increase in production personnel and test capacity has helped ensure a smooth production flow of products in support of L-3 SCM’s burgeoning UAV, Telemetry, and Security business.  L-3 SCM is located in Spring Valley, CA.
