L-3 WESCAM Sonoma Operations (“WESCAM Sonoma”) designs, develops, manufactures and supports ultra stabilized, high performance electro-optical and infrared (EO/IR) imaging turret systems. WESCAM Sonoma systems are used in ground, airborne, manned, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), military, and commercial applications.  WESCAM Sonoma employs nearly 200 EO/IR professionals and is located 50 miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge — with facilities totaling over 65,000 square feet.

WESCAM Sonoma is led by an experienced, customer-centric management team with over twenty years of successfully-executed U.S. military and commercial programs.  These include everything from simple sensor stabilization platforms to the most advanced imaging products available to the defense industry for Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance, and Targeting (ISRT).

WESCAM Sonoma offers turreted systems range from 11 inches to 25 inches in diameter, and can adapt these to the requirements of the specific customer and platform. WESCAM Sonoma is one of the only companies in the world that continually designs, manufactures, tests and delivers turret systems with Customer Furnished Equipment (CFE) sensor payloads.  Our demonstrable excellence comes from technological breakthroughs in three arenas—Stabilization, Optics, and Modularity.

WESCAM Sonoma incorporates other state-of-the-art technologies such as Multi-spectral Imaging, Image Processing, Designating and Targeting Laser Integration, Geo-Pointing, Geo-location, Metadata Integration and Telemetry.
