L-3 Tactical Systems completed successful demonstrations of their unmanned maritime tethered autogyro system, Valkyrie™. Demonstrations were conducted onboard the Navy’s test ship Stiletto based in Norfolk, VA and a crew boat in the Baltimore, MD area. L-3 TS teamed with the Stiletto Program Team to install and integrate the Valkyrie™ System onboard the US Navy’s test craft. The demonstration flights showed successful flight performance and payload capabilities such as EOIR surveillance, extended line of sight communications and long aloft endurance to various government groups.
