Course Overview
This course provides students
with the knowledge and skills necessary to perform
day to day tasks associated with the normal operations
of the System 550. It also provides prerequisite
knowledge and skills for advanced operations
and training, including Algorithm Development,
Application Programming Interface, System Administration,
and Maintenance.

Course Objectives
Upon successful completion of this
course, students will be able to:
Describe the major components
of the System 550, including bus structure,
data flow, software, and hardware.
Identify, navigate, and configure
the different components of the Graphical User
Interface (GUI) for all System windows associated
with the Control Panel.
Describe Telemetry as it applies
to decommutation in the System 550.
Create, configure, modify, troubleshoot,
and store a new database using a simulated
telemetry stream.
Archive formatted telemetry
data, and view data from the created files.
Create custom displays using
DV-Draw.
Display and interpret real-time
telemetry data using DataScope.
Display and interpret archived
telemetry data using MicroScope.
Configure and display IRIG time
parameters, and associate time with a database.
Display and interpret real-time
data using the DataGat utility.
Describe the system hardware
and software configuration files.
Display and interpret the system
hardware and software log files.
Describe the "sys500dumpinfo" utility,
and it's associated output file.
Create user logins and maintain
security access level
