L-3 WESCAM CELEBRATES 1,000TH DELIVERY MILESTONE WITH UNITED KINGDOM MINISTRY OF DEFENCE

LE BOURGET, PARIS, June 18, 2009 - L-3 WESCAM, a wholly owned subsidiary of L-3 Communications, announced today that it has delivered its 1,000th MX-Series electro-optic/infrared (EO/IR) imaging turret to the Defence Equipment Support at the United Kingdom Ministry of Defence (U.K. MoD). The MX-15 will be installed on a Merlin HM Mk1.

WESCAM MX systems are currently installed on ten different U.K. MoD platforms, including the Nimrod MR Mk2, Sea King, and Gazelle supporting the U.K. MoD missions throughout the U.K., Iraq and Afghanistan.

L-3 WESCAM will be showcasing its latest addition to the MX-Series, the MX-10, at the Paris Air Show Hall 4, Booth B-15, and Chalet-C207. Other gimbals in the MX-Series are the MX-15, MX-15i, MX-15D, MX-15HDi, MX-20, MX-20D and MX-20HD.
